About Us

Primary Care Doctors Group is a trusted medical office in Alexandria, Virginia. Our founders, Dr. Aladdin Bolad and Dr. Bejjenki Chary, were in residency together. After reconnecting later in their careers, the doctors decided to open this practice.


Dr. Aladdin Bolad

Cofounder of our practice, Dr. Aladdin Bolad trained at University of Khartoum in Sudan, graduating in 1985. He completed residency at Khartoum Teaching Hospital, subsequently traveling to Saudi Arabia and training at King Khalid University Hospital for four years. In 1991, he moved to the United Kingdom, where he worked as Registrar and Senior Registrar in Birmingham and Leicester. In search of higher degrees, he attained the Royal College of Physicians (UK) Degree in Internal Medicine, with an emphasis in Geriatrics and Neurology. In 1994, he came to Washington, DC, and joined the Georgetown University Medical Center/Veterans Affairs Residency Program in Internal Medicine. He completed the program in 1997, and spent his last year as Chief Resident.

Dr. Aladdin Bolad

Dr. Bolad's Experience

Dr Bolad has been in private practice since 1997. He spent five years in New York, providing Internal Medicine/Primary Care services while serving as the Medical Director of The Homestead Nursing Home. Dr Bolad has been practicing at Washington Hospital Center and Inova Mount Vernon Hospital since 2002. He is a teaching attending and senior physician in Internal Medicine and Primary Care. He also has privileges at Inova Alexandria Hospital and Bridge Point Long Term Acute Care Hospital at Capitol Hill. Dr Bolad is board-certified in Internal Medicine. He is knowledgeable, caring, and has good bedside manners. He has a large network of excellent specialists, with whom he provides and coordinates our patients' care.

Dr. Bejjenki Chary

Dr. Bejjenki Chary

Cofounder of our practice, Dr. Bejjenki S Chary, is a Primary Care physician of Indian origin. Dr. Chary graduated from the Armed Forces Medical College of India in 1984, and did his residency in Internal Medicine at the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research in India. He served as captain and Regimental Medical officer in the Indian Army Medical Corps, and worked as Senior House Officer and Registrar in South Wales, United Kingdom, prior to moving to the United States. He did his residency in Internal Medicine at Veterans Affairs Medical Center/ Georgetown University Washington, DC, and served as Chief Resident at VAMC/ Georgetown University Medical Center.

Dr. Chary's Experience

Dr. Chary has been in private practice since 1998 on Capitol Hill. He has been practicing at Washington Hospital Center as an internist and primary care physician since 2002. He is a teaching attending and senior physician at Washington Hospital Center, and served as president at Specialty Hospital of Washington long-term acute care. He has privileges at Washington Hospital Center, Inova Mt Vernon,  Inova Alexandria Hospital, and Bridge Point Long Term Acute Care Hospital at Capitol Hill. Dr. Chary is an empathetic, highly respected internist at Washington Hospital Center. He networks with specialists to coordinate great care for our patients, and is a compassionate physician with excellent bedside manners.
